The archives were established in 2003 and contain materials on the theater’s productions, videotapes and DVDs of productions, and a collection of hundreds of plays in Yiddish, Hebrew and other languages such as English, German, French, Rumanian, Polish, etc.
The archives also contain current newspaper clippings related to Yiddish, Yiddish culture, personalities connected to the Yiddish world, actors who perform in Yiddish, and a large collection of Yiddish songs (music and lyrics).
Also located in the archives are the valuable bequests of deceased artists of the Yiddish theater, and posters of Yiddish plays and events throughout the years.
In the archives, one may also find materials related to Yiddish theaters throughout the world, international festivals, and a collection of Israeli theater programs from the last 50 years.
